Good to see report on Chartist mosaic on your website. England is strange in the sense that whilst I still run Budd Mosaics, set up by Kenneth Budd (my father) back in 1951, the developers who want to move this mosaic have not contacted me over its future.
I have all the original cartoons and material notes to remake this work and I am the only person who understands the technique by which it was created. A note to all American Mosaicists, I hope to be teaching at the Chicago School of Mosaic in the fall of '08 where I will be showing the metal mesh technique of pre-fabricated mosaic murals developed by Kenneth Budd in the 1960's.
